URL REGISTRATION FAQ

General Information
Simply call AustinTexas.Net and we will handle your domain name registration requests. Our team will expedite your registration of your domain. InterNIC, the global URL registration authority, charges $70 to register a new domain name (.com, .net, .org, .biz). This fee covers the first two years. Each additional year after the second year is $35.
How do I register a new domain name?
Just call AustinTexas.Net, and our staff will complete your order. You will receive an Invoice within a week for the $70 application fee. This fee is charged by InterNic, the global URL registration authority. InterNic usually completes the entire registration within 2 - 3 days
How do I transfer an existing domain name? 
In order to transfer a domain name, simply give us a call and tell us the domain name. You will need to have any usernames and passwords for your account ready. We also offer temporary storage for your website with "piggyback" domains (ie. yourcompany.austintexas.net) until your order has been processed by InterNic, typically 2 - 3 days. Once the order is complete, your site will automatically be moved to the original domain.
